Gatwick parking options and prices

Gatwick's two terminals are 3 minutes apart on the inter-terminal shuttle, so a car park serving the "wrong" terminal is rarely a dealbreaker — but meet and greet is terminal-specific and worth checking. Prices run cheapest first, all eight days with BCP25 applied and checked 10 September 2026.

How much can you save at Gatwick Airport?

Eight days at Gatwick costs about £95 if you drive up without booking and £58 if you pre-book the same park and ride space. Code BCP25 takes that to £46. The code is worth £12; booking ahead at all is worth £37.

That split is the most useful thing to understand about Gatwick parking pricing, because it tells you where to spend your effort. Hunting a better code than 20% wins a few pounds. Booking three weeks out instead of three days out wins thirty or more. Gatwick fills earlier than most UK airports because it runs a single runway at very high utilisation, and the car parks price accordingly as departure approaches.

Gatwick runs more flights from a single runway than any airport in the world, which is why its car parks fill earlier than other UK airports and why booking three weeks out matters more here than almost anywhere else.

Car parks our Gatwick codes work at

12 car parks at Gatwick accept the codes on this page. Treat the quoted transfer times as a floor rather than an average, particularly in the early-morning departure bank.

Two Gatwick-specific things worth checking before you book. Meet and greet operators quote a terminal — Ace handles South Terminal, and turning up at North with a South booking means an unplanned shuttle ride. And the off-site sites sit on different sides of the airport: Cophall is east off the A22 near Copthorne, while most others are north and west off the A23. If you are arriving from the M25 rather than the M23, that changes which is genuinely closest.

NHS discount at Gatwick Airport parking

The honest answer

No Gatwick car park runs a standing NHS discount scheme. The public code on this page saves more than any NHS-specific offer we have found at Gatwick.

Around 170 people a month search for a Gatwick NHS parking discount, and they are looking for something that does not exist in the form they expect. Neither the airport's own car parks nor the main off-site operators run a scheme you can apply at checkout with a verified ID. What appears occasionally is a time-limited NHS promotion from a booking platform, usually 5 to 10% and usually excluding the on-airport products.

The NHS airport parking discount page shows what the public code delivers against every eligibility route we could find.

Does the Blue Light Card work at Gatwick?

Blue Light Card lists travel offers that change month to month, and airport parking appears there far less often than cardholders expect. When a parking offer does run at Gatwick it is normally through a national booking platform covering many airports at once, not a Gatwick-specific deal. Compare final totals rather than percentages, because platform offers often exclude Gatwick's cheapest sites.

Gatwick drop-off and pick-up charges 2026

Gatwick Airport charges £6 for up to 10 minutes outside North and South Terminal departures, with no free grace period. The free alternative is the Long Stay car park at either terminal, which allows a short free stay and runs a free shuttle.

Meeting an arrival at Gatwick costs more than dropping one, because delays are billed by the minute. the Long Stay car park at either terminal solves it. Charges are set by the airport and reviewed annually — background on Gatwick Airport, and our UK drop-off charges guide compares all 20 airports in one table.

Blue Badge and accessible parking at Gatwick

Blue Badge holders do not park free at Gatwick. The badge secures a wider, closer bay, not a free one, and the normal tariff applies in every car park including Short Stay and Long Stay at both terminals. Accessible bays sit nearest the lifts and terminal entrances. Meet and greet is worth pricing here — handing the car over at the forecourt removes the shuttle transfer entirely.

The Blue Badge guide compares this policy against every other UK airport in one table.

Gatwick terminals and getting there

Gatwick has two terminals, North and South, connected by a free inter-terminal shuttle that takes about three minutes and runs continuously. That shuttle is why terminal choice matters less at Gatwick than at Manchester — a car park serving the other terminal costs you a few minutes, not a taxi fare. Gatwick Airport railway station sits directly beneath South Terminal, which is why South is the default for anyone combining rail and parking.

easyJet is the largest carrier and operates mainly from North Terminal. British Airways, most long-haul operators and the rail link use South Terminal. Gatwick moves airlines between terminals more often than most UK airports, so check your booking rather than assuming from the airline.

Gatwick sits beside the M23 in West Sussex, between Horley and Crawley, and is reached from Junction 9A — the airport spur. Set your satnav to RH6 0NP for South Terminal and RH6 0PJ for North Terminal; both have their own approach road off the spur and the split comes up quickly, so knowing your terminal before the junction saves a loop. Typical drive times are 45 minutes from central London, 30 from Croydon, an hour from Brighton and around 25 minutes from the M25 at Junction 7. The M25 either side of Junction 7 is the reliable bottleneck; allow an extra 30 minutes for a departure between 6am and 9am.

How to use your Gatwick parking discount code

Four steps, and the order matters — the code goes in before payment, not after.

  • 1
    Copy the code
Use the copy button on any Gatwick deal above. Every one is BCP25.
  • 2
    Enter exact times
Gatwick prices by the hour from your drop-off time, so a 6am return costs less than a 6pm one on the same day.
  • 3
    Enter the code first
£50 should become £40 on Cophall Parking before you reach the payment step.
  • 4
    Give the inbound flight
This is what holds your Gatwick space if the inbound flight lands late.

If the total does not move when you apply the code, try it on an off-site Gatwick operator before assuming it is dead. Official Long Stay is the product most often excluded from platform-wide offers, and an exclusion looks exactly like an expiry from the checkout. Our guide to why airport parking discount codes fail works through the rest.

Student, senior and military discounts at Gatwick

No Gatwick car park runs a student, senior or military parking scheme. Occasional student-platform offers surface through third-party discount sites, but they apply to the booking platform rather than the parking, cap at around 10%, and are frequently restricted to the more expensive products. Where age genuinely changes the price at Gatwick is a product choice rather than a discount: the off-site park and ride operators run the lowest daily rates on stays over ten days.

Gatwick parking FAQs

What is the cheapest parking at Gatwick Airport?
Cophall Parking is the cheapest option we track at Gatwick, at £40 for eight days with code BCP25 applied against £88 at the barrier. It sits inside the Gatwick boundary, so there is no third-party shuttle in the mix.
Do Gatwick parking discount codes actually work?
Yes. Every code on this page was tested against a live Gatwick booking on 10 September 2026. The failure we see most at Gatwick is a date restriction over school holidays, not an expiry — the code is live, your dates are not eligible.
How much can I save with a Gatwick parking discount code?
Eight days at Gatwick costs about £95 if you drive up without booking and £58 if you pre-book the same park and ride space. Code BCP25 takes that to £46. The code is worth £12; booking ahead at all is worth £37.
Is there an NHS discount for Gatwick parking?
No Gatwick car park runs a standing NHS discount scheme. Around 170 people a month search for a Gatwick NHS parking discount, and they are looking for something that does not exist in the form they expect. Neither the airport's own car parks nor the main off-site operators.
Does the Blue Light Card work at Gatwick Airport parking?
Blue Light Card lists travel offers that change month to month, and airport parking appears there far less often than cardholders expect. When a parking offer does run at Gatwick it is normally through a national booking platform covering many airports at once, not a Gatwick-specific.
How much is drop-off at Gatwick Airport?
Gatwick charges £6 for up to 10 minutes outside North and South Terminal departures, with no free grace period. The free alternative is the Long Stay car park at either terminal, which allows a short free stay and runs a free shuttle, which adds a few minutes to the trip and saves the charge every time you use it.
Can I park free at Gatwick Airport?
Not in any car park. The closest thing to free parking at Gatwick is the free drop-off period at the Long Stay car park at either terminal, which allows a short free stay and runs a free shuttle. Past that window every Gatwick bay is metered, including the accessible ones.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Your space is held. Gatwick car parks track flight numbers and allow a late return at no extra charge, usually up to 24 hours. Without a correct flight number the operator has only your stated return time, and an overstay is billed at the drive-up rate.
Is it cheaper to book Gatwick parking in advance or on the day?
In advance, always. At Gatwick the same space costs £88 at the barrier and £50 pre-booked before any code — a difference of £38 before the code is even applied. Gatwick fills earlier than most UK airports because it runs a single runway at very high utilisation, so aim for three weeks out rather than two.
Which is cheaper at Gatwick: meet and greet or park and ride?
Park and ride, by roughly 32 pounds on an eight-day stay at Gatwick with the code applied. What the premium removes at Gatwick is the transfer and the wait for it, not the walk through the terminal.
