Is NCP the cheapest option at Birmingham?

Straight answer

Not the cheapest. Birmingham Airport's own Car Park 5 undercuts NCP by about £3 on eight days with the same code applied, and APH undercuts it by the same again with a shorter shuttle. NCP's case at Birmingham is scale and predictability, not price.

NCP carries 740 searches a month at Birmingham, more than any other single car park at any airport in our set — people are searching for it by name, which usually means they have used it before or trust the brand. That is a reasonable basis for a booking. It is not the same as it being the cheapest, and we would rather say so.

How NCP parking works, step by step

Drive to the NCP site rather than the airport — the postcode on your confirmation is the car park, and Birmingham satnavs routinely try to route you to the terminal instead. The barrier reads your number plate automatically, so there is no ticket to collect. Park in a numbered bay, note the bay number, and walk to the marked shuttle stop. On return, call the number on your booking from the arrivals hall and the shuttle collects you from the designated pick-up bay outside the terminal.

Security and accreditation

NCP Birmingham holds Park Mark accreditation, the Police-backed UK standard covering perimeter security, lighting, surveillance and management. The site is fenced, CCTV-monitored and barrier-controlled with ANPR. Because this is a keys-retained product, nobody else drives your car at any point — which removes the risk category that applies to valet and meet and greet parking.

What accreditation actually means is set out in our off-site parking safety guide.

EV charging and extras

EV charging is not currently available at the NCP Birmingham airport site, which is a real gap for a national operator in 2026 and worth knowing before you arrive on low charge. NCP's city-centre sites are better provisioned than its airport ones. There is no car wash or valeting offer at this location.

Cancellation, amendments and flight delays

NCP bookings can normally be amended or cancelled ahead of arrival, with the window set by the rate booked. The flexible rate costs a few pounds more and refunds closer to the date. Flight delays are handled automatically if you entered your flight number — NCP tracks the flight and holds the space for a late return, usually up to 24 hours.

Our cancellation guide explains why the flexible rate usually beats paid cover.

NCP reviews — what customers actually say

NCP Birmingham reviews cluster around two themes. The praise is for the shuttle frequency and for the fact that the process works the same way every time — repeat users value that heavily. The recurring complaint is the walk from the terminal exit to the shuttle pick-up bay on return, which at Birmingham is longer than the drop-off walk and is signposted less clearly. Several reviewers mention circling arrivals looking for it. If you are landing late with heavy cases, that walk is the thing to plan for.

How to use your NCP discount code

  • 1
    Copy BCP25
One code covers every product listed on this page.
  • 2
    Choose your stay
NCP prices by the day from your drop-off time, so the hour matters.
  • 3
    Add the code first
A seven-day booking should fall from £51 to £41 before you reach payment.
  • 4
    Supply the flight details
This is what lets NCP hold the booking if the flight lands late.

The NCP code applies to the parking before the booking fee is added, so the discount on the line item reads slightly higher than the discount on the final total. That is normal.

NCP FAQs

Is NCP cheaper than official parking at Birmingham Airport?
Cheaper than Car Park 1, which is the on-airport product, by around £35 on eight days. Not cheaper than Car Park 5, the airport's own budget option, which undercuts NCP by about £3 for the same stay with the same code applied.
How long is the transfer from NCP to Birmingham Airport?
Ten to fifteen minutes, on a shuttle running around the clock at that frequency. The site sits roughly two miles from the terminal. Allow 30 minutes from arriving at the car park to being inside the terminal at a peak departure hour.
Is NCP Birmingham Park Mark accredited?
Yes. The site holds Park Mark, the Police-backed UK car park standard, and is fenced, CCTV-monitored and barrier-controlled with number plate recognition. It is a keys-retained product, so nobody else drives your vehicle at any stage.
What happens if my flight lands late?
NCP tracks your flight and holds the space at no extra charge, normally up to 24 hours, provided you entered your flight number at booking. A missing or mistyped flight number is the most common cause of an unexpected charge on return.
Can I cancel an NCP Birmingham booking?
Usually yes, ahead of arrival, with the window and any fee set by the rate you chose. Non-flexible rates are cheaper and stricter. The flexible rate costs a little more and is generally better value than buying separate cancellation cover.
Does NCP Birmingham have EV charging?
Not at the airport site. This is a genuine gap for a national operator and worth planning around if you are arriving on low charge. NCP's city-centre car parks are considerably better provisioned for EVs than its airport locations.
