What VIP Meet and Greet is, and how it works

Meet and greet, sometimes sold as valet parking, means you drive to the terminal forecourt, hand your keys to a driver and walk straight into departures. Your car is taken to a compound off the airport and brought back to the forecourt when you land. You never see the car park and you never take a shuttle.

At Manchester Airport specifically, that plays out against 5 products we track, spanning £43 to £67 on the same eight-day booking. Manchester is the busiest UK airport outside London and the only one running a multi-billion-pound terminal transformation while staying fully open, which is why its car park layout has shifted more than any other airport in this list.

VIP Meet and Greet covers Terminals 1, 2 and 3 at Manchester. Terminal 2 is Manchester's newest and largest, extended as part of the airport's transformation programme, and handles most long-haul departures. Terminal 3 serves British Airways, Flybe successors and a run of European carriers. Terminal 1 is being progressively wound down as Terminal 2 absorbs its traffic, which matters for parking: some older car park signage still points to T1 stands that no longer operate the flights you might expect.

What VIP Meet and Greet should cost at Manchester

There is no checked VIP Meet and Greet figure in our set. The table is the next best thing — every Manchester product priced the same way, so you can see where a meet and greet quote ought to fall before you accept one.

The spread at Manchester is £24 between the cheapest and the dearest product on the same dates, and the brand you choose is close to a rounding error against the type you choose. The brand you book matters, but not nearly as much as the row of the table you book from.

Is VIP Meet and Greet the cheapest option?

The honest answer

It will not be. Valet sits at the top of the price range at every UK airport including Manchester, where the cheapest option is JetParks 1 at £43. The question is whether the handover is worth the gap on your particular trip.

This comparison is run the same way for operators we are paid by as for those we are not, which is the only way it is worth anything. Side-by-side prices for the rest of Manchester are on the Manchester Airport parking discount code page.

What we have verified, and what we have not

Covers all three Manchester terminals with a forecourt handover, which matters more here than at most airports because Manchester's terminals are far enough apart that the wrong one costs you a shuttle ride.

Against that, here is what we have not been able to confirm for VIP Meet and Greet, and which we will not state as fact until we have:

  • Compound location
  • Park Mark status
  • What happens on a delayed return

Most discount sites fill those gaps with plausible-sounding numbers. We would rather carry the gap visibly and correct it when we have checked. If you have booked with VIP Meet and Greet recently and any of the above is wrong or missing, the contact page reaches a person.

Getting to Manchester

The M60 orbital either side of Junction 4 is the reliable delay, particularly north-bound between 7am and 9am. Manchester Airport sits south of the city beside the M56, reached from Junction 5.

Use the postcode on the confirmation email rather than Manchester's own. Satnavs route the airport postcode to the terminal forecourt, which is not where you are going. If someone is dropping you instead, Manchester charges £5 for up to 5 minutes at all three terminals — the UK drop-off charges guide has all 20 airports.

How to use the VIP Meet and Greet code

  • 1
    Open the form
The code is pre-filled — there is nothing to copy out and paste back in.
  • 2
    Set your dates and times
Give yourself a margin on the return: landing time is not car park time.
  • 3
Check the total, not the percentage
The headline percentage is a marketing number; the total is the real one.
  • 4
    Add your flight number
Skip it and a two-hour delay becomes an argument at the barrier.

VIP Meet and Greet FAQs

Is there a VIP Meet and Greet discount code?
Yes. Code BCP25 is worth up to 25% off the pre-booked rate at Manchester, and it is applied on our quote form rather than typed in anywhere else. For scale, the cheapest eight-day booking at Manchester runs £88 at the barrier against £43 with a code — a difference of £45.
Where do I enter the VIP Meet and Greet code?
On the quote form, at checkout, before you pay. Typing it into a car park's own site at Manchester will return an error — not because the code has expired but because it was never that operator's code to honour.
Is VIP Meet and Greet the cheapest parking at Manchester?
The floor at Manchester is £43, set by JetParks 1. Whether VIP Meet and Greet beating it or not is the right question depends on whether you would take a shuttle to save the difference.
How far is VIP Meet and Greet from Manchester?
No verified figure. Distances quoted for off-airport car parks are measured to different points by different operators anyway, so the transfer time matters more than the mileage. Neither is confirmed for VIP Meet and Greet.
What happens to a VIP Meet and Greet booking if my flight is delayed?
The car park tracks the flight. A delay on the way home at Manchester does not cost you anything as long as the number on the booking matches the flight you are actually on.
Can I cancel a VIP Meet and Greet booking?
Subject to the operator's terms, which appear at checkout. Amendment and cancellation are treated separately by most of them, and changing dates is often cheaper than cancelling outright. See the cancellation guide before you rebook.
